TWO AGE CATEGORIES: 4 to 8 and 9 to 13
Adults not allowed to fish but can help their kids 3 winners will be judged by the largest fish in each age category Only one (1) award prize per kid for this event. Door prizes are not considered award prize.

RULES FOR KIDS FISHING DERBY
Free entry into the park from 7:30am to 8:15am on the day of the event. Sign in at the park 7:30am to 8:00am. 8:15 am — Committee member will read the rules to the teams than you can go fishing on the pier.
You must supply your own rod & reel and tackle. Kids do not need a fishing license.
Free worms will be supplied by Fishbones Bait & Tackle or you can bring your own bait. All fish must be caught on hook and line. No more than (1) rod per each fisherman and two hooks per rod.
No treble hooks allowed, even if they’re on a lure.
There will be committee members on the pier to assist you with your fishing, if needed, and to measure your fish. All undersized Rockfish (20″) must be released. All fish will be measured from the tip of nose to the end of tail.
A horn will sound at 10:30am. Stop fishing. Go to the pavilion for lunch, prizes and awards.
THE PASADENA SPORTFISHING COMMITTEE WILL JUDGE YOUR LARGEST FISH FROM YOUR FISH SCORE SHEET AND DECIDE ALL TIES. THE PASADENA SPORTFISHING COMMITTEE HAS THE AUTHORITY TO INSTITUTE ANY DISQUALIFICATIONS. THE PASADENA SPORTFISHING COMMITTEE HAS THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS EVENT DUE TO LACK OF PARTICIPATION OR WEATHER.
