Fish With a Cop Day
On July13th, 2023, the Pasadena Sportfishing Group (PSG) teamed up with the Anne Arundel County Police Department to host a heartwarming community outreach event known as “Fish with a Cop” day at Downs Memorial Park. The event brought together 12 kids from northern Anne Arundel County, providing them with a unique opportunity to experience the joy of fishing. For many of these children, it was their first-ever fishing excursion, and for some, it marked their first ever sighting of our beloved Chesapeake Bay. The event was a resounding success, with over 100 fish caught, fostering a sense of camaraderie and bonding between the young participants and local law enforcement officers. This initiative not only introduced youngsters to the wonders of the outdoors but also strengthened community relationships, making it a memorable and impactful day for all involved.
